First Aid at Work 3 day
The First Aid at Work course is 3 days and covers a wide range of interesting topics enabling you to become knowledgeable and confident to deal with any first aid incident. It can be attended over three consecutive days or you can split the course so that it is scheduled 1 day per week over 3 weeks. As long as it is completed within 10 weeks. We can come and deliver this course at your work setting or you may join one of our schedule courses. Should you require one of our trainers to deliver this training at your workplace you have the flexibility of starting the course as early as you would like or alternatively you can request a later start on dates of your choice that suit you and your staff. Each student will receive a colourful, comprehensive manual and a certificate that will be valid for 3 years. This course meets the standards required to comply with Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 Assessment: You will be required to successfully complete two short multiple choice papers and will be assessed on your practical skills to qualify for your certificate. This First Aid at Work has a mix of theory and practical elements. You will be required to kneel on the floor for some of the practical elements. • Students should be aware that they must attend all sessions to be eligible for assessment. • Students must be physically able to carry out the practical assessments detailed in the Course content to achieve the course certificate
Emergency First Aid at work
The Emergency First Aid at Work is a one day course cover the basics of First Aid. It can be scheduled for 1 day or 2 x 3hrs over 2 days. Those who attend will be able to act as a first aider in the workplace. We can deliver this course at your work setting or you may join one of our schedule courses. Should you require one of our trainers to deliver this training at your workplace you have the flexibility of starting the course at a convenient time to suit your needs. Each student will receive a colourful, comprehensive manual and a certificate that will be valid for 3 years. Assessment: You will be required to successfully complete a short multiple choice paper and will be assessed on your practical skills to qualify for your certificate. Basic Life Support
This essential life support course will give you the confidence to act quickly and effectively when someone is in cardiac arrest. Participants will learn how to perform effective CPR and use a defibrillator. Cardiac arrest can strike anyone at any time. Every second counts. Early intervention can save lives. This course provides learners with the skills and knowledge to act in emergency situations and provide life-saving assistance to victims until rescue arrives. This course also covers the safe use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) and is delivered according to the protocols set out in the Resuscitation Council (UK) guidelines. evaluation: You must successfully complete a short multiple-choice question and your practical ability will be assessed in order to qualify for the certificate. The Basic Life Support course mixes theoretical and practical elements. Some practical elements require you to kneel on the floor. • Students should be aware that they must attend all sessions to be eligible for the assessment. • To obtain a Certificate of Attendance, students must be able to physically complete the practical exams listed in the course content. Basic First Aid
This is a short 3-hour course that covers life-saving first aid skills. You can customize each group according to your work area. A great course for church groups and young people. We can deliver this course in your work environment.You have the flexibility to start the course as early as you like. Each student receives a colorful, comprehensive information sheet and a certificate valid for three years. evaluation: You must successfully complete a short multiple-choice question and will be assessed on your practical ability to obtain the certificate. Fire Marshal / Fire Warden
A fire warden is a nominated person within the workplace who will be responsible for routine checks and general fire management. The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 states that 'Employees should be provided with adequate safety training' This course is designed to provide those employees with the knowledge and understanding of the responsibilities that a fire warden holds to ensure they can carry out this role effectively. All our fire training includes the practical use of fire extinguishers.

COSHH
The use of chemicals and other hazardous substances in the workplace can endanger people's health, so the law requires employers to control exposure to hazardous substances to avoid harm to health . They must protect both their employees and others who may be exposed by complying with the Regulations on Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) Regulations 2002, as amended. This course prepares employees to contribute to safer use of hazardous substances and provides a thorough understanding of risks and how to manage them. Mental Health First Aid
The purpose of the course is to benefit learners by educating them about general mental health. Work-related problems such as stress, depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorder. The course includes how to actively listen and hold conversations, how to make suggestions, and how to empower Individuals can decide for themselves how best to help in difficult times. the learner You will also deepen your understanding of the laws that apply to the workplace related to mental health. This course is open to anyone over the age of 18 who is or has an interest in mental health first aid. Increase awareness of mental health in the work environment and be able to actively listen and lead/ support work colleagues
Manual Handling of People
This 2 day Manual Handling Course is compliant with the All Wales NHS Manual Handling Passport Scheme is designed to ensure consistency within NHS Trusts in Wales, thus allowing staff to transfer their skills when moving from Trust to Trust. Participation in the Manual Handling Passport Scheme is a path to ensuring that organisations also meet training and advisory provision as set out in the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations, 1999. The course can be delivered at your place of work or at our North Wales Training Centre.
